Biografie - Andre Schwarz
andre first gathered his club experiences by pulling all nighters in the hamburg cult clubs 'unit' and 'front' back in 1989. even in his early stages as proclaimed club kid did he notice his preference for house music, which is still the case today. in 1994, andre spent a great deal of time with friends who were already djing. he decided to give it a try himself and quickly got into it. he began buying records on a regular basis. in the beginning, the albums were primarily new york school of house representing for example strictly rhythm or nervous. however, the spectrum has broadened to include everything from very deep, souly and uplifting house to hard rockin´, breaky or electro infiltrated big floor house.
since andre´s move to hamburg, djing has become an intense hobby and an important priority in his life. he has moved steadily from private parties to bookings involving club events. since 1996, he has been a resident dj at the purgatory, one of the oldest house institutions in hamburg, together with dj davis & michi pohl. their hard work and dedication has brought the purgatory to the cutting edge of house sound and lovers of house music from all over germany come to take part in their vibe.
since 1997, there have been countless bookings within hamburg as well as national and international engagements. andre still maintains his residency at the purgatory but has had a number of guest bookings in renowned clubs worldwide.
he has been working as dj promoter at public propaganda since december ´99.
