House hat seinen Ursprung im Chicago der 1980er Jahre, wo sich diese spezielle Musikrichtung des House zunächst in der Untergrund-Szene verbreitete, um dann nach und nach weltweit die Clublandschaften zu erobern.
Seit über drei Jahrzenten existiert nun bereits diese langsamere, atmosphärische und teilweise soulige Variante der House-Musik. Gerade in letzter Zeit wird diese Stilrichtung wieder sehr populär.
